Oman’s digital transformation, is a strategic initiative aligned with the nation’s ambitious Vision 2040. Digital transformation in Oman over the years have been integrating digital technologies, strategies and innovations across various sectors of the country’s economy and society.
Oman has been on a transformative journey to modernize its economy and society through the strategic implementation of digital technologies.
Guided by the National Programme for Digital Economy, Oman’s digital transformation process is revolutionizing its economy and society by enhancing productivity and fostering new growth engines.
The government digital transformation program 2021-2025 in the Sultanate aims to build a sustainable knowledge society and raise the productivity and efficiency of the public sector by building national capacity, enhancing infrastructure, developing IT industry and improving the quality of government services and its delivery modes.
The year 2024 marks a pivotal period in Oman’s journey towards digital transformation, as the government sets ambitious targets to accelerate its Vision 2040 objectives. Central to these targets is the enhancement of digital infrastructure, focusing on expanding high-speed internet access nationwide through the continued rollout of 5G technology. This will provide a critical backbone for the deployment of advanced digital services and facilitate broader adoption of digital tools across various sectors.
DTX Oman aligns with Vision 2040 and remains committed to close collaboration with government entities and the private sector to deliver innovative solutions.

With over a decade of experience in the IT industry, Kawthar has developed multidisciplinary expertise across event management, corporate communications, marketing, digital transformation, and strategy development. Dr. Haitham Al-Sinani is the Director of the Department of Cybersecurity and Quality Assurance at the Diwan of Royal Court, Sultanate of Oman. With over a decade of expertise in cybersecurity, he specialises in end-point and network-level security, regular assessments, and drafting security policies and standards. From 2014 to 2023, he served as Director of the Department of Systems Governance and Smart Applications, where he led digital transformation initiatives and oversaw the secure design and implementation of dynamic web and mobile applications. Dr. Haitham earned his PhD in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London, in 2012. A passionate educator, he lectures at leading universities and delivers advanced cybersecurity training. His interests include AI, ethical hacking, and digital transformation. Dr. Haitham is also an active researcher with many publications in prestigious conferences and journals, contributing to advancements in the field of cybersecurity.

I’ve been across various divisions and responsibilities in operations, engineering, project management, head of projects, CEO and currently, as Cisco Country leader for Oman & Yemen. I led the development of high-level strategy, road map and business case for digital transformation with various customers.
